THE FUNK HUNTERS - Vancouver - Funk/Breaks/Party-Hop
Recognizing the need to bring more F-U-N-K to your speakers, DUNKS & OUTLIER have teamed up for a global mission hunting the freshest party rocking sounds imaginable. Armed with 4 turntables and an arsenal of phat beats, the FUNK HUNTERS have been infecting dancefloors across BC with their own signature blend of booty-shaking party-hop. Following appearances throughout Vancouver and the infamous MOO CREW parties at Shambhala, the pair finally made their first Victoria appearance at last year’s annual Halloween throwdown at the legendary Phantom Pharm and returned again this spring for an epic 4hr beach-set of funky breaks and bass heavy bangers at a rare Mile Zero party. Word on the street is that their funk is fresher than ever and these two are sure to have something special planned for their debut appearance at the Sunset Room!

DJ Emmett - Homebreakin Records
Emmett’s been digging in record crates since he was a wee lad, and this comes through in his eclectic sets of house, electro, breaks, and dusty funk classics. Playing in clubs since he was underage has given Emmett a long list of gigs opening for big-time jocks like Doc Martin, John Selway, Brett Johnson, Tipper, and many more. This summer will mark Emmett’s debut appearance at Soundwave and after his opening gigs for Mat the Alien, Fort Knox 5, and Soul of Man earlier this year you’re not going to want to miss this chance to see him in action before the festivities begin in July.

Not stuck in the current trend of knocking out electro bangers, mr.b’s tight mixing and exceptional track selection has made him a unique figure in Victoria’s electronic scene and a purveyor of PK style bass heavy beats. With over 8 years of experience mr.b’s style is firmly rooted in the past while keeping a keen eye on future. After last post on marketing without search engines, I decided to follow up with a strategy you can use to get quality free traffic. One of the easiest ways to get visitors to your web site is to spend money. Nothing is more effortless then paying for traffic. But if you can’t afford it or don’t want to pay, there’s an equally simple but free way to get traffic: ad swaps.
