DJ Emmett (Homebreakin Records, Calgary) Victoria debut!
Emmett’s been digging in record crates since he was a wee lad, and this comes through in his eclectic sets of house, electro, breaks, and dusty funk classics. Playing in clubs since he was underage has given Emmett a long list of gigs opening for big-time jocks like Doc Martin, John Selway, Brett Johnson, Tipper, and many more.

September update

Well! It’s been a while.

The move to Victoria is complete, school has started, and life has really picked up speed.  I was able to catch John Tejada and Richie Hawtin on my brief stop in Vancouver, which was awesome. Both of them exceeded my expectations. Shouts to Geoff Pye, the Danksoul boys, the Shah DJ’s, Woodhead, and whoever else put up with my drunk ass there and at Lotus Long Weekend.

I’ve just received a shiny new external sound card for my laptop, so the trickle of music on this blog should resume shortly. Also, there’s a show in the works for October 3rd for anyone in Victoria.
